The name Skiibii Mayana was given to him by his uncle, he started his musical career way back in his secondary school days, and he started as a rapper before swapping to R&B. In December 2014, Skiibii was signed to Five Star Music alongside Harrysong and was presented with a special Hyundai SUV as part of the record label deal.
